Support diversity.
Partner with FirstGen Ahead if you are an employer seeking to support diverse talent through direct hires, internships, or job shadowing.
Over a 17-month period, students participate in project-based learning, networking, and hands-on opportunities to be career ready. FirstGen Ahead students are eager to succeed and ready to contribute to your organization.
In group activities and through one-on-one coaching, FirstGen Ahead students are guided to achieve competencies identified by NACE for career readiness:

Students are coached on how to navigate and explore job options, understanding and taking the steps necessary to pursue opportunities, and learning how to self-advocate for opportunities in the workplace.
Clearly and effectively exchange information, ideas, facts, and perspectives with persons inside and outside of an organization.
